I’ve owned my 2019 Jeep Renegade Latitude for about two years now. For what I paid, I’m pleased overall. I like how it looks and the Jeep style, people comment on it. The ride is decent, it handles well around town, the seats are fairly comfortable, and visibility is good.
On the downside: the transmission sometimes lags when I need to merge or go fast; you can feel it hunt a bit. Gas mileage isn’t amazing, especially with AWD. When I have passengers in the back, it gets tight. Also, at highway speed there’s more wind noise than I’d like, and some of the interior plastics feel less premium.
But all things considered, if you want a compact SUV with Jeep character, decent off-road chops (if you pick the right trim), and style, it can be a great choice. Just go in knowing the trade-offs.
